Every teacher working in a Western Australian school must hold current registration with the Teacher Registration Board of Western Australia under the Teacher Registration Act 2012 (WA). It’s an offence to employ an unregistered teacher in a teaching role, and the employer must confirm registration before a teacher starts.
Registration can be full, having met all requirements, or provisional while working towards it. Supervision and placement decisions follow from which, so the category matters as much as the status.
On our monitored plans, we monitor the register every month and alert you to a lapse or a new condition, including for teachers already on staff. On the Verified plan, it’s a point-in-time verification you can re-run whenever you choose.
