COMPLIANCE VERIFICATIONS
Knowing Your People starts with verifying they are who they say they are. Kinatico Compliance reads the identity documents in real time and matches them to a live selfie taken at the same time. This confirms the person is present rather than relying on an uploaded photograph or screen recording.
Most verifications ask for identity documents in three categories, plus a self-captured photo (to prove they match the identity documents they provide). Your people upload them into the Kinatico Compliance app from their mobile phone.
A commencement document, which establishes their identity in Australia. An Australian passport or a birth certificate are the common examples.
A primary document, which shows your identity is in use. A driver licence or a proof of age card, for instance.
A secondary document, such as a Medicare card.
They then take a live selfie which face matches the documents, with presence checks confirming the person is live.
Their Identity is confirmed and the person's record is established, ready for every requirement that follows.
Your organisation receives the result, not your people's passport or documents.
This is the single most common reason a verification stalls, and it is usually nothing more than a marriage, a divorce or a legal name change that some documents caught up with and others did not.
If the name on a document differs from the name given, they will be asked for Change of Name Evidence. Having it ready before saves the back and forth.
If they have used other names in the past, it is best to say so at the start rather than leaving it to be discovered. It is a normal thing to have happened and it is faster to handle up front.
Your people upload and control their own documents. The organisation that asked for the verification receives the result, not the documents behind it.
Everything is held securely onshore in Australia. Kinatico is certified to ISO/IEC 27001 for information security management and ISO/IEC 27701 for privacy information management.
The documents are not used to train AI models. Our document reading software runs on a closed-loop system trained on our own data, and no third-party large language models are used anywhere in the platform.
No. You upload them yourself and they stay under your control. Your employer receives the result of the verification, not your documents.

Not a problem, just an extra step. You will be asked for Change of Name Evidence — a marriage certificate or a change of name certificate. Having it to hand before you start is the quickest way through.
A photo from your phone is fine. The app guides you through it.
To confirm that the person completing the verification is the person the documents belong to. The document proves the identity exists; the selfies ties it to you and proves you are live.
Please use your Australian Passport as the primary document instead of a driver's licence. Then use your Australian birth or citizenship certificate as your proof of life commencing in Australia.
