COMPLIANCE VERIFICATIONS

VEVO Visa Verification Monitoring

The key first step before you employ anyone in Australia is knowing if they have the rights to work in Australia While working rights are verified in real time they may still change after you verify them. Kinatico Compliance monitors them monthly, on the Core and Premium plans for changes in conditions, expiry or cancellations.

Valid is not the same as unchanged

Most organisations verify working rights once, at onboarding, and treat the expiry date as the thing to diarise. Expiry is the easy case.

The harder case is a condition change. A visa can remain perfectly valid while the conditions attached to it change — new restrictions, reduced work hours, a bridging visa transition. The worker often does not know, and if they do, they may not understand what it means for the hours you have rostered them.

A calendar reminder set for an expiry date will not catch any of that.

Verified once, then watched

When a worker completes a working rights verification, Kinatico records the result and the date. A month later, on the same date, the verification runs again automatically in the background using the same details. The worker does nothing.

The new result is compared against the last one. If nothing has changed, it is logged and the cycle resets. If a monitored field has changed, it is flagged for your team in your admin portal. If the entitlement has passed its expiry date, the worker is marked as expired, which takes priority over a change.

Working rights monitoring is included in all our monitored plans, which makes it the simplest place to see what continuous compliance feels like.

How ordering works

Why order through Kinatico Compliance

Frequently asked questions

  • Visa Entitlement Verification Online, the Department of Home Affairs service that confirms a person’s visa status and work entitlement. Kinatico Compliance verifies against it in real time.

  • No. Australian citizens have work rights automatically, and an Australian passport is not required for this verification.

  • Confirmation of work rights, including any expiry date and any conditions attached to the visa, such as restrictions on hours.

  • Monthly, on the same date the original verification completed, on every Kinatico plan.

  • The change is flagged for your administrator so the situation can be assessed. Kinatico surfaces the change; the decision about what to do next stays with your organisation.

  • Monthly is the standard monitoring frequency today, and is commonly accepted as a prudent and reasonable approach. Configurable monitoring frequency is on the roadmap, and organisations with a specific risk profile can talk to us about it.

  • Kinatico Compliance identifies New Zealand citizen workers during onboarding and configures their compliance accordingly to the Trans‑Tasman Travel Arrangement.  This gives New Zealand citizens full work rights in Australia through the Special Category Visa (Subclass 444), which is granted automatically on arrival and allows indefinite stay and unrestricted employment.
