COMPLIANCE VERIFICATIONS

Traffic, Licence & Driving Verifications

If driving is part of the role, the licence is part of the compliance record. Verify it against the source, and re-run it on a cadence that reflects your needs.

A licence verification is a snapshot

A driver licence verification confirms the licence was valid at the moment it was checked. That is genuinely useful at onboarding, and it stops being useful the day a licence is suspended.

Demerit points accrue quietly. A worker who drives a company vehicle, transports clients, or operates on a site with vehicle access can lose their licence without their employer hearing about it, and the first anyone knows is an incident or an insurance question.

Which is why organisations that take driving seriously set a re-verification cadence rather than relying on the verification they ran on someone’s first day.

Where traffic history is available

Licence verification works nationally. Traffic and demerit history does not, because it depends on what each state road authority makes available.

The above process is applicable for Western Australia, Queensland, South Australia, Victoria and Tasmania. Not available for licences issued in NSW, ACT or NT. Unlike other jurisdictions, the process in those jurisdictions requires specific authority from an employer organisation before an independent third-party, like Kinatico, can verify a person's driving record. Contact sales @kinatico.com  for more information.

If your workforce spans jurisdictions, the practical approach is to verify licences in all states where applicable as well as a traffic history where it is available, rather than assuming a national picture.

  • No. A licence verification confirms validity. Demerit and traffic history is a separate verification, available in five states.

  • Because it depends on what each state road authority provides. We cover Western Australia, Queensland, South Australia, Victoria and Tasmania today.

  • No. It runs on a re-verification cadence that you set. Kinatico Compliance prompts you when one is due to be re-run.

  • That is your policy to set, and it usually reflects how central driving is to the role. Kinatico lets you set the cadence per verification and prompts you when each one is due.
