Privacy Awareness Week (PAW) is an annual event dedicated to raising awareness about privacy issues and promoting the importance of protecting personal data. PAW is a collaborative effort between state and territory privacy regulators and the Asia Pacific Privacy Authorities forum, aimed at educating individuals and organisations about privacy risks and how to mitigate them.
Taking place from the 1st to 7th May, this year’s theme is ‘Back to Basics’. The annual event highlights and reinforces fundamental principles of privacy protection and ensuring individuals are equipped with the necessary knowledge to safeguard their personal information.
